Girl, let’s face it, your hair has known better times. Whether you have colored hair (are your roots halfway down your head already?) or you’re rocking your natural hair color, it’s only understandable that after all this craziness ends, we are all hoping to get a fresh new look for a fresh new world.
But before going crazy and going from blonde to jet black using your standard box dye (please don’t!), let’s take a moment to actually figure out what hair color would suit you best!
One of the easiest and best methods is by looking at your skin tone, well your undertones to be exact!
What are undertones you ask? They are the color underneath your skin, which affects your overall hue. Finding out what undertones you have can be crucial in finding the right makeup shades, as well as what clothes and hair colors look best on you.
Cool, now how can I find my undertones?
There are a few different ways to figure out what your undertones are. One of them is by looking at the veins on your wrist.
If the veins look green or olive, you have warm undertones. If they look blueish or even purple, you have cool undertones. If you can hardly tell if they are green or blue, then chances are you are a lucky neutral.
If you're not sure you have found your undertone with our quick test, don't worry! We put together a handy little quiz you can take by clicking on the link below 😉.

Individuals with cool undertones usually have pink, red, or blueish undertones in their skin and look best in silver jewelry! They also burn fast in the sun instead of tanning. The best lipstick would be plums, cherry, purples, and anything with a blue or purple undertone.
Fun fact:
Having cool undertones doesn't automatically mean that one has lighter skin. Actress Lupita Nyong’o is a perfect example of someone with a darker skin color having cool undertones.

If you are an individual with warm undertones you usually have more yellow and peach undertones and look amazing in gold jewelry. You also tan quite easily, as opposed to cool undertones. The best lipsticks for your undertone would be nude, rosy pinks, and matted reds.

Now, if you have a more neutral undertone, you're in luck! You have quite the flexibility when it comes to hair colors! You also look great in both silver and gold jewelry. You can still tan, but quite slower than your warm-undertone sisters. The same applies to lipsticks: you have a wider range of options from pinks to neutrals.
